The West Point Society of Birmingham, Alabama derives it’s Mission and Vision from that of the United States Military Academy, West Point (USMA) and USMA Association of Graduates (AOG).
USMA Mission: “To educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.“
UMSA AOG Mission Statement: “Shall be dedicated to furthering the ideals and promoting the welfare of the USMA, and supporting and serving its graduates.”
Birmingham Society Mission (draft proposal): To support and serve the graduates of the USMA in Birmingham and Central Alabama, as leaders for the nation, upholding the traditions of the Long Grey Line and the USMA, embodying Duty, Honor and Country.
Birmingham Society Vision (draft proposal): Create a vibrant, active society of graduates providing fellowship, mutual support, and accomplishment of the Society mission.
